"The Many Rings of Saturn" was my 5th body of cameraless work (since 2020) and concentrates on my processes with ice, among other materials. My turn to ice and eventually various ice connections was a direct result of the snow photograms I made 6 months prior.

This print is an homage to Wynn Bullock, whose work, along with that of Minor White, has been an inspiration to me for over two decades.

All of my photographs are equivalent images; I was spending a lot of time in isolation last year and given that I travel to make most of my film photographs, I'm sure that the fact that I haven't taken a proper shooting trip since losing my former darkroom had something to do with my photograms morphing into landscape photograms...

My foray into experimental photography began as result of beginning the shutdown with an unfinished darkroom; The photograms brought me back to consistent printing for the first time since April 2017, and I haven't been able to stop yet.
